The 20 oz skinny tumbler tapers, so its wrap isn't a simple rectangle. Get these numbers right and your designs line up seam-to-seam.
The dimensions
- Full wrap design: approximately 9.3 in tall × 8.2 in wide at the widest point.
- Print sheet: a full 8.5 × 11 in sheet (landscape gives you the width).
- Resolution: 300 DPI — so about 2790 × 2460 px for the design area.
- Mirror the design before printing (sublimation prints reversed, then flips when pressed face-down).
Why the taper matters
Because the tumbler is narrower at the bottom, a plain rectangle leaves a gap or overlap at the seam. For a clean seamless wrap, use a tapered tumbler template (slightly fan-shaped) rather than a straight rectangle — most blank suppliers publish the exact template for their 20 oz skinny.
Placement tips
- Leave a small safe margin (about 0.25 in) at the top and bottom; the very edges are hard to press evenly.
- Center any focal text vertically so it sits at eye level on the finished tumbler.
- For a full seamless wrap, extend the background slightly past the design edges so a tiny misalignment doesn't show a gap.
