- Maximum print area is 5.55 x 5.55 in on a square sheet.
- Transparency defines the cut. Export PNG with a genuinely transparent background — the blade follows the edge of your opaque pixels.
- Leave a margin. Artwork touching the sheet edge leaves no border, and thin protrusions tear when peeled. A white keyline of 2–4 mm is the usual fix.
Kiss-cut confuses people because there are two shapes involved: the backing sheet, which is square, and the cut line, which follows your artwork. Designs supplied without transparent margins come back cut square, which is almost never what the seller intended.
Every print position, measured
These are the actual print areas Printify produces for this product, not estimates. Pixel values are at 300 DPI, the resolution print files should be supplied at.
| Print position | Inches | Centimetres | Pixels @ 300 DPI |

| Front | 5.55 x 5.55 in | 14.1 x 14.1 cm | 1664 x 1664 px |
Placement that survives the real product

The rule that overrides every chart: print areas are the maximum, not the target. Filling the entire area is almost never the best-looking choice — most strong designs use 70–85% of the available width and sit slightly above the geometric centre, because that is where the eye expects them on a worn or photographed product.

Quick answers.
What size should a sticker design be?
Up to 5.55 x 5.55 inches at 300 DPI (1664 x 1664 px). Smaller is fine — the sheet stays the same size.
Does my sticker file need a transparent background?
Yes for die-cut shapes. The cut line follows the opaque area, so a white background will be cut as a square.
Why did my sticker come back square?
The file had an opaque background. Re-export as PNG with real transparency around the artwork.
